Landing pages are not exactly the center of the marketing universe but have a general purpose of helping convert a potential customer. As time goes on you may or may not use a landing pages but if you decide to use a landing page this post should point you in the right direction.
What is a landing page?
- There are 2 basic types of landing page, Click Through and Lead Generation
- In realm of marketing and advertising, it’s more common to refer to a landing page as being a standalone web page distinct from your main website that has been designed for a single focused objective.
- Click through landing pages (as the name implies) have the goal of persuading the visitor to click through to another page. Typically used in ecommerce funnels, they can be used to describe a product.
- Lead generation landing pages are used to capture user data, such as a name and email address.
A well-designed landing page can greatly increase conversions for your PPC or email marketing campaigns. Rather than directing visitors from those sources to your general website (where they may have a hard time finding what they’re looking for), you can direct them to a specially-designed landing page that steers them in exactly the direction you want them to take.
But creating effective landing pages isn’t the same as crafting a successful website or email newsletter. There are certain guidelines you should adhere to in order to maximize your page’s success. Continue
